Job Summary
This is a dual role with responsibility for managerial duties in pharmacy as well as staff pharmacist duties.
Education
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with BS or Doctor of Pharmacy.
Required License/Certifications
Current license to practice pharmacy in the state of Oklahoma.
Experience
Requires 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for pharmacy licensure with State Board of Pharmacy, OSBN and DEA
- Complete performance reviews
- Oversees department Performance Improvement program submitting documentation quarterly and attending meetings
- Efficient fiscal management of department
- Prepares, reviews and revises policies and procedures.
- Review physician orders
- Fill orders for parental and enteral medications
- Monitors patient drug therapies and provides drug information to patients and staff
- Responsible for proper handling, usage and storage of medications in the hospital.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Effective communication skills; both orally and written
- Computer skills needed
- Ability to manage a team
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good organizational skills
